-equable o equitable?-

-equable o equitable?-
Nota d'uso
L'aggettivo equable significa “costante, uniforme”, in riferimento a ciò che non subisce grandi variazioni: an equable climate, un clima temperato; her equable temperament means that he always stays calm, il carattere imperturbabile di lei fa sì che lui resti sempre calmo. Non si deve confondere equable con equitable, che invece significa “equo, giusto”: Is democracy an equitable means of government? la democrazia è un sistema di governo giusto?; to distribute money in an equitable manner, distribuire il denaro in modo equo.
